Get a Dog License?
Town Office, must have proof of rabies shot and if neutered, proof of same. Dogs must be licensed each year.

Register to Vote?
Register at Town Office must provide proof of residency (i.e. register vehicle in Newry, Maine Drivers License, etc.).

Get a Hunting License?
You can obtain a hunting license yourself on line through the Fish and Wildlife web site or at the Town Office. Must provide proof of residency for resident license. You must have a license at age 16 (resident). First time holders must have hunter safety course

Get a Fishing License?
You can obtain a fishing license on line through the Fish and Wildlife web site or at the Town Office. Must provide proof of residency for resident license. You must have a adult license at age 16 (resident) 12-15 (junior non-resident license )

Get a Death Certificate?
Request and $15.00 made payable to Town of Newry

Get a Birth Certificate?
Request and $15.00 made payable to the Town of Newry

Get a Marriage License?
Resident must obtain at Town Office. Non resident, at any town office. There is no waiting period in Maine.

Get a Firearms License?
Contact State Police (concealed weapons permit)

File for a Tax Abatement?
Request forms from the Town Office

Get a Building Permit?
Applications are obtained from Town Office or online.

Get a Plumbing Permit?
Applications are obtained from Town Office

Contact Fire Chief or a Deputy Chief
